WHAT'S IN A NAME?

OUR STORY

The Noble Pawnbroker name means more than just the fact that we are a pawnshop located in the great city of Noble, Oklahoma—although we are blessed to be that! The definition of the word "noble" is to be moral in an honest, brave, and kind way. When we took over this business in January 2019, nothing could have summed up our goal for this store and how it serves you, the customer, more.

Our founder Nick Parker has lived in Noble his whole life, with one important exception. When he met and married his wife Marisa they knew they wanted to share the Gospel and help people, and so they decided to become missionaries. In September 2013 they left Oklahoma for Dunedin, New Zealand and worked with a small community there for five years.

In September 2018 they felt called to serve back in the US, and they knew there was no better place to do that and raise their family than Noble, OK. They prayed for an open door, and God gave them an opportunity in the local pawnshop, which was seeking new owners.

The Noble Pawnbroker officially became a reality on May 1, 2019, less than four months after Nick and Marisa sat down to figure out how to open the best pawnshop between Oklahoma and New Zealand.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Pawn loans are an easy way to get quick cash. Loans are based on the value of the item pawned. The term of the loan is 60 days (the same as all pawnshops in the state of Oklahoma). If you cannot pay back your loan within that timeframe, we offer renewals to give you additional time.

A state issued ID or driver's license (less than one year expired), an immigration card or passport.

If you cannot pay back your loan in full on the due date, you can get a renewal. You will be required to pay all of the interest that has accrued on your loan, which will allow us to write a new pawn loan for you. The original pawn loan amount remains the same.

Loan amounts are based on the value of the item, its condition and our ability to sell it if needed. Our management team has many years of experience with valuing merchandise. Since we are a locally owned and operated pawnshop, we do not rely on a computer program to tell us how much your item is worth. Our desire is to loan you top dollar on your item at an amount you are able to pay back.

Yes, pawnshops are regulated at the local, state and federal level. The state of Oklahoma licenses pawnshops through the Office of Consumer Credit. We are audited regularly to ensure compliance. In addition, we are subject to many federal laws including but not limited to the Patriot Act, Truth in Lending Act, Federal Trade Commission Rules on Data Privacy and Security Transfer and Federal Firearms Licenses.

We follow all state and federal laws. You must be 18 years old to purchase a long-gun and 21 years old to purchase a handgun. In addition, you must pass a federal background check.

No. We work closely with local authorities to prevent and identify stolen merchandise. We voluntarily submit our entire inventory to law enforcement databases to ensure nothing is stolen, and less than 1 percent of items are identified as such. Customers are required to show identification when pawning or selling an item. We train our staff to be on the lookout for stolen property. It is not in our benefit to take anything that is presumed stolen since it will be turned over to the local authorities at our own expense.

Yes. Our layaway plan for guns, benchmade knives, and gold is 10 percent down, ten months to pay it off, and ten percent a month minimum payments.
The standard layaway plan for all other inventory is as follows: 15% down on all items; $99.99 and under, 30 days to pay it off; $100-$199.99, 60 days to pay it off; $200-$299.99, 90 days to pay it off; $300 and up, 120 days to pay it off.

Yes. It is our responsibility to keep your items safe. Once they are pawned, they are placed in a secure, climate-controlled location.
